MIR - R.I.P. - Roger Huckley

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Roger Hickey one of the founders of Mr. International Rubber. Roger died on Friday July 13, 2012. Roger was the original owner of Cell Block Chicago, and the man who was approached in 1995 about hosting the third Mr. Vulcan Contest. The following year when Mr. Vulcan folded, he created the Mr. International Rubber contest which continues to t...his day. Roger owned MIR from 1996 - 2006 when he sold both the bar and the contest. That year he served as a judge at MIR2007. We take this opportunity to celebrate the life of Roger Hickey and thank him for his support of the International Rubber Community. If you are out and about in your gear tonight, lift a glass in his honor and have some good rubbery fun just as he would have wanted.
